We are happy to announce that we have resumed normal working hours and have implemented our Enhanced Patient Protection Plan.
Our goal at My Smile Artist is to create a safe, individualized care experience for every patient. We believe by aggressively managing air quality, using advanced personal protection, and implementing social distancing standards our team can provide the level of safety consistent with our promise to you. To achieve this promise we have implemented our Enhanced Patient Protection Plan (EPPP) that far exceeds all CDC recommendations to reduce the transmission of pathogens to the lowest levels possible. The plan is made up of these three independent layers of protection: Air Management Program, Advanced Personal Protection, and Social Distancing Standards. These are all intended to complement each other, creating overlapping layers of protection for you, our patients, and our team. Our desire is for you to know what My Smile Artist is doing to protect you so together we can focus on achieving the results you have come to expect and deserve.
The Air Management Program addresses both the air regularly circulating in the office and the aerosols created during patient care. The system is capable of decontaminating the air in every treatment room every 15 minutes. By decontaminating the air you breath we have added a new level of protection to keep you safe.
The Social Distancing Standards address your patient care experience. We understand that maintaining proper separation from each other is the best way to prevent the spread of an infection. We are asking our patients to text or call (210) 496-9967 upon arrival at the office building. The reception area has been rearranged to maintain 6 feet of separation so when you enter you will have your own space. When 6 feet of separation will interfere with discussions about your care we will move you into a different room where one of our team members wearing face shields, N95 masks and surgical masks will address your concern.
We are also screening all patients and team members before they enter the office to decrease the risks of infection. At this moment we are also asking patients to pay prior to their treatment to limit congestion at the checkout area. We are committed to your safety and by taking these steps we are supporting the goals of social distancing without compromising your care.
The use of Advanced Personal Protection is the third layer of protection. My Smile Artist has always exceeded the required guidelines with respect to personal protection used during any treatment to protect you. We will expand the protection we provide to our patients by exceeding CDC and OSHA guidelines to include all necessary precautions. We have tailored personal protection equipment (PPE) to each area of the office to protect you. During your treatment we will be wearing N95 or similar masks, surgical masks, face shields, hats, full length gowns, and gloves to provide the highest level of protection available. After your visit the treatment rooms and other waiting rooms will undergo an additional 5 minute period of decontamination which will disinfect the counters, equipment, and air completely for the next patient. We have always prided ourselves on our commitment to providing our best when it comes to taking care of you.
The combination of an Air Management Program, Social Distancing Standards, and Advanced Personal Protection creates our Enhanced Patient Protection Plan. These measures are not mandated to keep you safe. We choose to do them because our mission has always been to protect you and our team while striving to provide you the best options to reach your treatment goal.
